Every time I work towards what I feel is the inevitable goal of automating the site, something happens where I realise I love how editable it is where it stands. I love the ability to modify every little aspect of it. There is no set theme. I don’t have to pay for some little widget to make something appear in a certain way. It just is as I code it to be. Sometimes it can be a little tedious and time consuming, which is why I tend to stick to my regular outline, but then the times come where it is so wonderful to be able to tweak the little details of it. The background image. The text colors. The logos. The layout. Nothing is predetermined or set in stone. With just the failed closure of a div the site can be in chaos. It is the hard way, but sometimes there are certain rewards that come with that. There are so many perks to automation and themes and CMS in general… and I know in a few months I will want to kill myself for doing this, but I think I am going to leave it be. I think right now, this is the right choice. This site is meant to be different. Not something that can fit into a predetermined theme that any one of thousands of other sites out there can have as well. This is just how it needs to remain for the time being. Simple, yet tedious.
