I have been playing with an new app for the iPhone called SketchBook by AutoDesk. It retails for $2.99 and I am quite impressed. Time just disappears and I am easily engrossed in the various tools and modifications. I am not familiar with the full sized SketchBook program, I am a Photoshop girl, but it is a similar type of program, just very scaled back. It is for drawing with pencils, airbrushes, paintbrushes, etc. I have already turned some people onto it with its addictive nature. This picture is one I have created with it, using the symmetry tool, the pencil and the airbrush. It is included at full size, despite what it does to the width of my posting area on this page, just to give you an idea. Some of the nuances are the undo/redo commands… tapping a mystery spot on the edge of the screen can be a bit tedious when you sometimes draw more than you undo… but if you just get it right the first time, no worries. Save often.
