I apologise for the delays\x26#8230; things are really getting backed up and when no one else here can quite do all that I do [despite my efforts to train certain people\x26#8230;], it all comes to a screeching hault until I can get things moving again. \x3cbr/\x3e\x3cbr/\x3e In the next few days the gears will grind again. Several pages that were main pages have been shifted around so that they are no longer accessible from the main menu. The content they had is still in the archives, but it is no longer featured as primary. This is just how things go, content gets shifted for what is perhaps more interesting content or what I think should be. Trial and error. All in an attempt to provide more interesting and up to date content that changes and keeps people entertained. \x3cbr/\x3e\x3cbr/\x3e Minor tweaks are ongoing. \x3cbr/\x3e\x3cbr/\x3e One addition is the Media Page. So far only three videos have been added, but in the future it will have more content as well. It will be more of the A/V page, for any random videos and music files we have that have been approved for streaming on the site or that we have ourselves created. \x3cbr/\x3e\x3cbr/\x3e As always, your suggestions are welcomed.\x3c/p\x3e\x0a \x3c/div\x3e\x0a \x3c/li\x3e\x0a \x0a\x0a \x0a\x0a \x0a\x0a \x0a \x0a \x0a \x0a \x0a\x0a \x0a \x0a \x0a \x3cli class=\x22tumblr_post tumblr_text_post\x22\x3e\x0a \x0a \x0a \x3cdiv class=\x22tumblr_body\x22\x3e\x0a \x3cp\x3e07.01.10\x3cbr/\x3e\x3cbr/\x3e This is as good a time as any to remind the readers that just because we post a review with a particular opinion, does not mean that the magazine and website as a whole agrees with that view. When we send a writer out to cover a specific event or to review a certain album or other form of media, we are expecting to get back an article based on their honest experiences. Certainly depending on which writer is sent, these experiences may be better or worse depending on that specific persons\x26#8217; personal interests and knowledge. Their article may also be influenced by their particular interactions with the people involved with the event. I personally have had some horrible experiences with band mangers on site at shows. Sometimes the experiences are so bad that it makes it into my article. Sometimes I write it off as they were just having a stressful night and I don\x26#8217;t take it personally. For the most part that portion of the night does not relate to the article at hand. But there are the occasions where people do make the difference. On the other hand, they can be so amazing and wonderful, you can\x26#8217;t help but want to mention how amazing a particular member of staff was to you when they didn\x26#8217;t have to be. I love to mention those personal touches. I am not some cold, dead reporter. That\x26#8217;s why Flocked is independent. \x3cbr/\x3e\x3cbr/\x3e In any case, each person\x26#8217;s view is their own. As long as it is not a malicious attack or an intentional kiss ass article, it will be published. We support our staff\x26#8217;s opinions, even if we don\x26#8217;t always agree. That is why we are a diverse collection of people. We do our best to have those best suited for the material cover it so as not to intentionally bias an article, though. Then what comes of that, is what comes of that. \x3cbr/\x3e\x3cbr/\x3e We always love feedback, good or bad. So be sure to contact us for anything. We all have them. They distract us, they keep us busy when the main projects bore us or frustrate us. They relieve the stress caused my the main projects. They are that extra outlet that amuses us just when we need it most. Now I my my other hobbies such as photography, video games, sculpture, drawing, painting, driving, graphic design, etc\x26#8230; But I also play with other web sites. Nothing fancy, just play. I never get fancy or tricky. Anyway, I am working on a few right now, but one in particular you should check out is for my good friend Yvonne Glasgow, for her children\x26#8217;s book, Frankie the Firefly. She is gearing up to release her second book, so this site will be more interesting in the coming weeks. But for now, check out what we have so far: \x3cbr/\x3e\x3cbr/\x3e \x3ca href=\x22http://www.frankiethefirefly.com\x22 target=\x22_blank\x22\x3ewww.frankiethefirefly.com\x3c/a\x3e\x3c/p\x3e\x0a \x3c/div\x3e\x0a \x3c/li\x3e\x0a \x0a\x0a \x0a\x0a \x0a\x0a \x0a \x0a \x0a \x0a \x0a\x0a \x0a \x0a \x0a \x3cli class=\x22tumblr_post tumblr_text_post\x22\x3e\x0a \x0a \x0a \x3cdiv class=\x22tumblr_body\x22\x3e\x0a \x3cp\x3e05.13.10\x26#160;\x3cbr/\x3e\x3cbr/\x3e Getting a late start to it, but May is National Photo Month! And if there is one thing I do, it\x26#8217;s photos\x26#8230; so every other day or whenver I feel like it, for the rest of the month, I will post a new random photo. So just for the last couple weeks. It will amuse me, and maybe you as well. This day is meant to celebrate the profession of graphic and communication design. For more information check out \x3ca href=\x22http://www.icograda.org\x22 target=\x22_blank\x22\x3ewww.icograda.org\x3c/a\x3e. \x3cbr/\x3e\x3cbr/\x3e I may not be the best of designers, but I appreciate the field greatly, so I have chosen to have a little nod to the day on the site. Every graphic on the site has been created by me. Some much better than others, I know. I have my off days. But at the end of the day, it is all in good fun and it is a wonderful profession and I have a great respect for those who actually make a true living with it, like my sister. \x3cbr/\x3e\x3cbr/\x3e Happy Graphic Designer Day!!\x3c/p\x3e\x0a \x3c/div\x3e\x0a \x3c/li\x3e\x0a \x0a\x0a \x0a\x0a \x0a\x0a \x0a \x0a \x0a \x0a \x0a\x0a \x0a \x0a \x0a \x3cli class=\x22tumblr_post tumblr_text_post\x22\x3e\x0a \x0a \x0a \x3cdiv class=\x22tumblr_body\x22\x3e\x0a \x3cp\x3e04.23.10\x26#160;\x3cbr/\x3e\x3cbr/\x3e Every time I work towards what I feel is the inevitable goal of automating the site, something happens where I realise I love how editable it is where it stands. I love the ability to modify every little aspect of it. There is no set theme. I don\x26#8217;t have to pay for some little widget to make something appear in a certain way. It just is as I code it to be. Sometimes it can be a little tedious and time consuming, which is why I tend to stick to my regular outline, but then the times come where it is so wonderful to be able to tweak the little details of it. The background image. The text colors. The logos. The layout. Nothing is predetermined or set in stone. With just the failed closure of a div the site can be in chaos. It is the hard way, but sometimes there are certain rewards that come with that. There are so many perks to automation and themes and CMS in general\x26#8230; and I know in a few months I will want to kill myself for doing this, but I think I am going to leave it be. I think right now, this is the right choice. This site is meant to be different. Not something that can fit into a predetermined theme that any one of thousands of other sites out there can have as well. This is just how it needs to remain for the time being. Simple, yet tedious.\x3c/p\x3e\x0a \x3c/div\x3e\x0a \x3c/li\x3e\x0a \x0a\x0a \x0a\x0a \x0a\x0a \x0a \x0a \x0a \x0a \x0a\x0a \x0a \x0a \x0a\x0a \x0a \x3cli class=\x22tumblr_post tumblr_photo_post\x22\x3e\x0a \x3cimg src=\x22http://28.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l05l8wzdru1qzaicro1_400.jpg\x22 alt=\x22\x22 class=\x22tumblr_photo\x22/\x3e\x0a \x0a \x0a \x3c/li\x3e\x0a \x0a\x0a \x0a\x0a \x0a \x0a \x0a \x0a \x0a\x0a \x0a \x0a \x0a \x3cli class=\x22tumblr_post tumblr_text_post\x22\x3e\x0a \x0a \x0a \x3cdiv class=\x22tumblr_body\x22\x3e\x0a \x3cp\x3e03.29.10\x26#160;\x3cbr/\x3e\x3cbr/\x3e I know updates have been slow going lately but there have been some changes going on behind the scenes.
